Papyrus & umbrella palm

hello wet feet people, I have been reading all your interesting questions and answers. Here is mine

I want to give my papyrus a better place I had it next to the house next to the gutter downspot, good place?

It grew lots of new rizomas?

Do I have to cut the old dry plumes?
Can I grow some rizomas ? just in water?
or is it okay to plant them in a pot and have it sit in an other pot with water?

I have some in a pretty black japanese pot with water next to the window and they look sooooooo pretty. hope I can keep them there.

RE: Papyrus & umbrella palm

hello
Both of these are extremely hardy plants. The only thing that I've found that will kill them is to dry out completely
lol. They definitely can be grown all the ways you mention
just don't ever let them dry out.
