what is the best all around plant book out there?

| if i have to choose just one book which one will i get? I need a complete refencnce from pruning to propagation to identifying plants? any recomendation would be appreciated! |

| I can't think of any that write about every subject. You'll have to find a few on those subjects. There are many books on identifying plants. There are booklets on pruning and you can find several books on propagation. I'd advise you to go to amazon.com or www.abebooks.com and type in the words. Nancy |

| Don't know if there is an Ollie's Discount store in your area, but I just picked up a copy of "Burpee Completer Gardener" for $9.99 and find it to be pretty comprehensive and well organized. |

I just picked up "Rodales encyclopedia of organic gardening" at a library book sale, and I love it. I've used it a dozen times (and found answers) in the past 2 weeks since I got it. Good Luck

I have a nice copy of Sunset Western Garden Book, few written notes on back cover, retails for $29.00. The definitive guide to California gardening.
