I live about 5 minutes from the Quabbin Reservoir, in Massachusetts, and would like a book that tells of it's history. My daughter has recently been asking lots of questions about it and I would to have something she can hold and read. I have lots of gardening, plant books if there should need to be a trade. I can even trade plants!

Kitty,
This sounds like an interesting bit of history. Most of the books I found were $$$$. This site seems to have some less expense ones. Nice to see someone cares if their children have an appreciation of history.

If you can't find exactly what you want used, you can try J.R. Greene who writes about Quabbin history. He's local to Orange/Athol area. The Jeff Book shop in Amherst carries Quabbin books, and the local libraries have copies of Quabbin books. Swift River Historical Society has a little museum to visit as well.
