Does anyone know of a good book to give to a couple who just moved to the Pacific Northwest, Seattle area? Thanks, Barb

TREES AND SHRUBS FOR PACIFIC NORTHWEST GARDENS is a good start. Check out Timber Press's website. They are an excellent publisher of garden books. They are based in Portland and have many books on the Pacific Northwest.

I used the Sunset Western Guide for years, also theres a bunch of suggestions on Rainyside, a Pacific Northwest Garden place full of great info.
I also like Ann Lovejoys books, and Medicinal Plants of the Mountain West by Michael Moore.
Enjoy! Lynn

Here is a link that might be useful: Rainyside's Books

Thank you both for your suggestions. I have bookmarked both sites and will see what I can come up with for some friends who are moving up to your neck of the woods. Barb
