| This is a terrific book by the gardening/environmental columnist of the New York Times, Anna Raver. She writes well and entertainingly. Very good at connecting to the "why" of gardening and not just the how. Very enjoyable; perfect for the impending winter. |

| I too love this book and this writer. She writes about the interconnectedness of gardening and life. She really "gets it". Her column for Thanksgiving "Letter From the Farm" is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen written in the New York Times. Deep in the Green gets extra bonus points for Long Island gardener's. I've been many of the places she writes about and have met some of the people. I keep reading these essays over and over as well as her column while waiting for her to publish another one. |
