I need help, In order to get into the college of my choice I need horticultural experience,that is to work under the guidence and supervision of a horticulturist or botanist.I tryed the brookyn botanic garden but the deadline for horticultural internship applications has passed.I dont know were else I could find horticultural internship or work in new york, but since spring is just around the corner I would like to get a move on it.If anyone has any ideas,I would be very grateful

might I suggest any ecological restoration project through a local conservation group that has ties to an Ag.Research Station.

You might see what Cornell has to offer. I believe that they have a hort program. There also is an experiment station in Geneva that does hort research, probably others too. Here is a link.

Also, you might also have a look at the American Association of Botanic Gardens and Arboreta (AABGA) and have a look at their internship listings nationwide. Here is the website. Sorry I don't know how to embed a link in this message. Cut and paste.
