Does anyone knows the name of this plant... it has hard stem and thick leaves.

Some people call it "Ice Plant".

Some people call it "Ice Plant".

That's true, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it. The common-name "ice plant" is more commonly used for various plants in the unrelated Aizoaceae family.
