albino or sick agave

| I acquired this agave over a year ago – it is a pup of a variegated agave Americana. The pup was in bad condition when I got it, & although it has not grown much the roots have regenerated & look pretty good. My question, is this a form of albino/cream pup or could there be some disease in the agave that causes it. I have noticed another similar offset coming off the same plant.
