 o
Poaceae - any specialists?

Posted by sofija Belgium (My Page) on

Hi gardeners or botanists!
I've collected 3 different grasses on April 30th.. unfortunately they're fully dried by now and I forgot to identify them when they were fresher... If anyone has an idea of what they might be, I would be so grateful!
Thanks again!
Sophie

If you want to know how to do this email me as I would have to send a jpg file to you.

The first one is possibly Arrhenatherum elatius, at an early stage of inflorescence development,

The second with its one-sided inflorescence reminds me of genera such as Dactylis and Cynosurus, but I doubt it's either of these.

The third looks quite like Phalaris aquatica except for the little protruding hair-like bits, but could these be stigmas?
