Could any of you good people out there give me a reference for "Plant Taxonomy for Dummies"? i.e. any articles or books that explain it in kindergarten terms - Western Garden book says that first word is genus, second is species. Well then what is it when there are three words or only one?

how do I find out what the species terms mean? Sometimes they are obvious it says but what about the strange ones?
