 o
sepals or bracts

Are the petal-like parts of a Hellebore flower sepals or bracts? I'm seeing them identified both ways (and even both on the same page in an on-line piece from Fine Gardening!)

Thanks!

The petal-like parts are sepals. Bracts on the flower stems resemble leaves. True leaves do not occur on the flower stems.
