Please help with A Flower

There seens to be quite a few very knowledgable people here so I hope someone can help. Many years ago I bought a pack of bulbs of a plant that I seem to remember as Mexican Lilly or False Orchid. The plant had saber like leaves like a lilly and each flower stem it produced had an entirely different color flower on it ranging from crimson to deep blue. I have tried searching with the
terms I used but to no avail nothing comes up resembling the plant. I seem to remember getting it froma a Burpees catalog, I searched their site but nothing. I hope someone can help.

Thanks

Thanks, I looked and it definetly was not Babiana the flowers were very exotic looking with a dark center and resembled Orchids in a way. Each flower was on a long stem of it's own coming up from the bottom of the plant and rising above the leaves. Each flower that bloomed was very distinct and differnt in color from the others and when there were at least three each one was a completely different color. Very beautiful thing!! Thanks though

Possibly Tigridia or Mexican shell flower? Flowers are rather orchid-like in appearance and come in a wide range of colors although I doubt a true blue is among them. Most seem to be in the warmer tones of yellows, orange, red and pink. And white. All with dark centers or eyes.

Here is a link that might be useful: Tigridia pavonia
