Can anyone suggest some good publications relating to either plant anatomy or cellular structure? Any response will be much appreciated.

RE: literature references

I only know two that are in my personal library ... there are many other books out their ofcourse.

"Plant Anatomy" by James D. Mauseth ( my old college text ) ... "Integrated Plant Anatomy" by William C. Dickison ... Dickison's text has more practical applications of plant anatomy while Mauseth's text maybe a bit more vigorous in biological detail. Both will cover cellular aspects ...

Good Day ...

A classic text is Katherine Esau's "Plant Anatomy".

I'm not familiar with Dickison's but would second the recommendation of Jim Mauseth's book. I studied Plant Anatomy under Mauseth at UT in probably the first class to use what was then a brand new text back in the late 1980's. He made what could have been a dry subject exciting.

for cell structure try Biology an australian focus - by Knox, Ladiges Evans

ISBN 0 074 31325 6

It's my current text for biology at University of New England (an australian uni) and it's sitting on the floor next to my computer staring at me and sending telepathic signals to pick it up and start studying :-)

Don't let the australian focus part of it fool you, the cell structure chapters are excellent and relate to all cells
