| I received this bromeliad in a trade in early March. It started to plume on Sunday and was surprised. It was suppose to be a Vriesea hieroglyphica, but the plume told me otherwise. After a bit of research, I figure it is either V. splendens 'Cayenne' or V. Hera. I would like to get a positive ID. Anyhelp would be appreciated.
Thanks and happy gardening,

| According to the FCBS site 'Cayenne' and 'Hera' are both synonyms for the same plant. I can't narrow it down any more than that, or even swear that is the right cultivar, but for sure you've got some form of Vr. splendens and not Vr. hieroglyphica. |
