| It was very beautiful when i bought it from homepot. Now, I would like to know it one. what kind is it. And, how can I save it? I water it every 3 days by water can spout so to get the water in between the leaves. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

| Hi Kim, your plant is a Guzmania hybrid which like warm climates though if you still have it after seeing the time you put this post on the forum? to keep it alive it will need at least 2hours direct sun through a window &prefers to be kept at temperatures 10 oC or warmer, it likes humidity (spraying with water mist occasionally helps) preferable to have reasonable ventilation? Only water when soil appears dry, in winter keep on dry side though more watering in Summer. Your plant looks like it is suffering lack of sunlight with possibly too much water. In warmer climates like southern Florida US this plant would grow out doors in the shade of a tree, where winters are cold then use as house plant. regards allan |
