hi, i was given this dyckia it's leaves are 3-4" long and it grows very flat, i have it in full sun, we had 9*f last night and it seems fine. i was told it was dyckia choristaminea, and told their id was from a friend from the flower. i live in maryland in zone 7a. from the photos i've seen of d. choristaminea it does not look the same, i've not seen it in flower yet. thanks

Hi jim, you're right, it's not Dyckia choristaminea. But, there could be a ton of unknown species in Dyckia world :-( At first glance, it look like a member in Dyckia remotiflora complex, but the channeled leaf with more prominent spines, I should determine your plant is looked pretty close to Dyckia saxatilis. This was identified as Dyckia saxatilis that's blooming in my collection last year. Sorry for out of focus pic, but you could take a look the flower habit.
