"Not as spectacular as last year"

Please explain to me Japie how you expect to improve on THAT!?

The common plant but still beautiful when in flower. Nice shot ;-)

Gonzer, last year's plant was one single rosette and nice and big. I decided to leave all the pups on the old mother and see what a clump would look like. There are 4 pups. 3 developed nicely and one stayed kind of small. And 2 of the 'pups' are in flower now, the other larger green one is visible at the back, the old mother, bottom left and the smaller one hidden at the back. I think I would have liked it better if I detached the pups and grew them singly but still grouped together. I think THAT would have been impressive! I am going to try it next year.

Japie, I think I'd probably separate 'em too, but the contrast in color of your clump is mighty fine. What percent of sun are they getting?

They sitting there on that branch of the Frangipani out in the open. And that tree is still without leaves! Our wet Winters cause them to drop their leaves once the cold and the rain starts and then in earlie summer usually, they start getting leaves. Which half of the tree did. The other half, where the Tills are mounted, is just starting to get new leaves. So that brachycoulos gets direct summer sun from about 09h30 untill at least 16h00!
