Hi Michael, I like your dunking vessels ! :) what species are these---I can't really make out but one's an ionantha, and the other two look like strictas? I was advised not to soak the flower as they are very delicate. Experts on this forum could advise you/us better.

Airplants are so addicting. Hope they bring as much joy to you as they do to me. :)

They were all listed as ionantha. I have no idea after that! I was not expecting a flower but the one with the flower was the most dry so I soaked it. So far so good! Just hope they didn't get cold damage!

The water may damage the flower, but the lack of water may damage the *plant*. So you're doing the right thing. If the plant enjoys the water and is happy, it will have pups and you'll have more flowers soon enough, and at that point you can avoid soaking and mist instead until the flowers go by. Me, I like tillies for their fantastic shapes -- from filifolias to Spanish moss to xerographicas to soft gray strictas to... flowers are just a nice bonus.
