I just bought an unlabeled plant at Home Depot that I'm fairly sure is a variegated Ananas. The leaves are at least a foot long and spiny, about an inch across, yellow with white margins. I'm thinking about planting it in a succulent garden that gets several hours of direct sun in summer and not much water. It'll be next to a dyckia hybrid that seems to like that environment. Is the ananas likely to survive there as well? Would it do just as well in "bright shade"?
