Very nice plant. I don't see that in the Bromdex. Is that registered?

RE: Aechmea - Felicia

I believe this actually is Ae. 'Felice'.

RE: Aechmea - Felicia

Felice is a cultivar of Fascini and has broad ivory coloured margins. Felicia is unregistered but is 'possibly a tissue culture creation from Fasciata'according to the link below.

I have Aechmea Felicia and although not in flower yet, is still a beautiful plant in it's own right. I would offer a photo but it is p..p..p..precipitating very heavily outside.

Here is a link that might be useful: Bromeliads in Australia

It really is a pretty bromeliad. Who ever made the cross should register it - if for no other reason than to snag the name!

Hi All, sorry have not got back sooner.

Aechmea Felicia is a tissue culture spineless hybrid of fasciata.

Hi Richard and all,

Thank you for confirming that for us, Richard.

Neomea, your Freddy as absolutely stunning. Another for my wish list for sure.

We have some milky sunshine this morning so I snapped a pic of my Felicia. Still quite a way from flowering.

Aechmea Felicia
