Amongst terrestrial bromeliad, particularly xeric,
I think Orth. benzingii, is one of the most curious brom.
While almost all of members in this genus, before flowering period,
normally will form rosette appearance,
(with an exception, Orth. vagans, of trailing habit)
But Orth. bensingii has a caulescent, tall upright stem.
When I got it from Michael last year.
