Need help with ID

A former co worker gave my wife a small 3" pup about 6 months ago of this thing. She was told the name but she is not a plant person and now has no idea. It has grown incredibly well for me so far. the only thing my wife remembers it that she was told that it can get 6' tall. Any help is appreciated.

It grows wild here, good ground cover, easy to control

It's not a bromeliad. I think it's a species of Callisia (in the Wandering Jew family).
