I've noticed that Neo. Takemura (as is) has shown up around the Aussie traps. I've seen so many variations of Takemura Grande, T. Princeps, T. Silverado, T. Crimson, that I wouldn't know the real thing if I fell over it. All the names of those Takemura ones are mixed up, it seems, here in Oz.

Your guzmania looks like it could be a variety of lingulata - just a guess. Someone else might know for sure?

Your aechmea is too hard to ID without a flower. At this stage, it reminds me of what I grow labeled Ae. rubens, but again, the names of those aechmeas such as callichroma, rubens, leptantha, mulfordii, eurycorymbus are debatable anyway - especially here in Oz , it seems. Unc D would probably tell you it is most likely to be Ae. callichroma, although the leaves on yours are more silvery like my supposed Ae. rubens. It could also be something completely different.

Hi Rick, I have a guzzy exactly the same as that. It was tagged "Delphine" when i bought it.
I have since looked it up and it is not there in the images in the florida site. So i dont know if its not registered or if its just a made up name...'incorrect'
