| I'm not exactly sure if it's alright to make show announcements here in the main forum so if I'm in error maybe we can have this moved.
I just thought I'd give everyone the lo-down on our local bromeliad show which is rapidly approaching. It looks like it's shaping up to be quite the event so if you're looking for something fun to do that weekend, or just have an empty spot in the garden just asking for a new brom, stop on over. Show season is here! "Tropical Magic of Bromeliads"
April 4th-5th, 2009
Free Admission ~ Great Food ~ Free Parking And for all my friends overseas or across the country, I'll do my GW duty and take enough pictures that you guys will be there in spirit.

| I hope to be there. Are there pictures from last year's event? |
|
|
| I got a sneak peak of some of the show plants today and was blown away. The show itself looks like it's going to be huge! |

| Hi all. I was the crazy lady with my "garden hoe" button and 4 bags of new broms. I dropped a butt load of money with Eloise and Jim. As a newbie I felt it was a now or never situation to get unusual, for me at least, tillandsias and such. Pictures on this forum made me buy a baby galactic warrior and 2 unusual crypts. I am still so new at this that everything was awe inspiring. It was a great day! |

| I must have gotten there after coffee mom because Eloise only had a few tillandsias left. But I did find a nice T. sprengeliana. Maybe next time i will have to wake up earlier. |

| Hi everyone, and 'bye everyone. In and out to say thanks to Bromadams and Mike for the excellent virtual brom show. It has whet my appetite for our upcoming conference this Easter weekend. I'll be back in full force on my return. Bromadelaide 2009 here I come! Cheers, PS. Thanks for those concerned for my welfare (flood-wise) while I was missing in action. All is good :) Cheers, |

| Mike, thanks a lot for showing such a lot of nice pictures, it makes me feel I was there too! If I have to choose a personal favourite, Neo car variegata x Tiger. Looks like it has still some growing to do but it already shows nice, thick, fleshy leaves coming from Tiger. Japie |
