| I've realized making hybrid is an exciting hobby.
Months ago, they all looked the same, tiny green thing,
a crosse between C.'Dennis Cathcart' x C.argyrophyllus
Now, some of them appear to be done :-)
At least, this one look rather like the pollen parent .
These are C.'Ken Vinzant' x C.argyrophyllus cross.
Brothers
Variation
Taken with 'Daddy'
I hope one of them would be a star (@^_^@)

Chanin- All your fingers are green, not just your thumbs! Nice to see the thick surf. Will be anxious to see if the barring when added to argophyllus, will double up on the surf in the barred areas. Lisa made a cross, call C 'Ultrasuede', which has such thick scurf I love to run it across my cheek. Who said cryptanthus can't be sensual. Definitely will have to write up your results later and get it into the Journal with lots of pictures. |

| The one with the streaks looks like a winner, Chanin! Which grex is that from? And the one in the last photo? It looks like it has C. beuckeri in it. No scurf, or is it just wet? Nice scalloped edges on #7 too. |

| Thanks for your comments, Lisa (^_^) The green-streaked is a Dennis Cathcart's grex which I guess did cross with Crypt. lacerdae instead of C.argyrophyllus. Yes, the last photo is C.beuckeri's, the plant has no scurf, but I have no idea who is daddy? #7 is your Ken Vinzant's x with C.argyrophyllus. |
