One of the most charming Dyckia : D. beateae

I got this charming spiny from Michael's Bromeliads year ago.

Amongst the xeric broms I got, this was quite pricey,

but I've realized it is really worth, as the leaves become

pinkish-bronze colored with prominent yellowish huge spines

when exposed to direct sun light.

The plant is going to form clump with at least 7 pups and also its head is dividing.

That is a beauty Stephania.
I've been hesitating about getting that one,but I agree,it surely seems worth it. There were a couple on e-bay last year,but they went for some pretty big bucks.
Your's has grown very well,and is even producing pups,so deffinetly a good purchase. Great coloration too.Always a pleasure seeing your Spiny posts.

Just want to state here that this dam Dyckia in my pictures above belongs to me,
it is growing happily in my front yard, Bangkok City, Thailand !

Definitely, never been in the liars, Turtlewalker's house before.
