Tillandsia Pup Question

Perhaps this is a silly question, but is it possible for a Tillandsia to produce pups before blooming? I have a Tillandsia that I just noticed is forming a pup at its base but it hasn't bloomed and it's not blushing to give me a hint that it's going to bloom anytime soon. I've read where pups form after blooming but I couldn't find any information about before blooming... Thanks!

RE: Tillandsia Pup Question

The majority of Tillandsias will produce offsets/clump before flowering.

Thanks so much for the information! This will be my first Tillandsia that has produced pups before blooming (so for me it's exciting).
