It's my first time caring for bromeliads, so bear with me. My T. fuschii started to ooze some clearish, yellowy substance at the base. Is this normal? If it's not, how do I treat it?
I grow 3 tillandsia, but none are fuchsii. How often do you mist and/or dunk them? The bottom does not look normal at all to me. The only thing I can think of is over/under watering. 2-3 times a week I take my tillandsia over the sink and heavily mist them till they are completely wet, hold it upside down and shake off excess water. Then I place them upside down somewhere with good airflow to let dry. Once dry I put them back where I want them. I fertilize once a month. I also very lightly mist all of my plants once a day in the morning. My house it too dry for dunking once a week, the tips get brown. Every morning I lightly mist all of my plants.
