Amelia, what about Neo Pepper for the Pepper Lady? Or a lot of other ones like Wild Tiger, Pheasant, Domino, Punctate or variegated ones like Nonis, Annick or Gorrion. Or if you would like to go really small : lilliputiana or one of it's crosses, Chiquita Linda? Here is a picture of Neo Pepper:

This is Neo. Lilliputiana - she grows to about 2inches and i believe she is the smallest neoregelia.

What about Aechmea recurvata v. benrathii? it only grows to about 2&1/2-3" and would look OK in a small pot.

Thanks for the info! I may get hooked on bromeliads.

I potted up a Chiquita Linda yesterday. Now, I have lots more potting mix. I definitely will find a Neo Pepper.
