I recently checked the woods behind my property in Brevard County, and i'm glad i did. There are multiple types of Tillandsia flowering right now. However, this type's flower spike hasn't quite opened yet, but is going to very soon. After researching, I believe this type to be Floridana (But Please let me know if it's misidentified). There are two colonies that I know of, the biggest being in a very dry location.
