| Hi everyone - I bought this plant a couple of years back from a grower who told me it was a Billbergia 'Maggie's Pride" but the only Maggie's Pride I can find anywhere I've looked is a Neoregelia.
I liked it mainly for the foliage colour and to this date have never flowered it. Can anyone help with a name? Thanks in advance, all the best, Nev. |

| It has that look of well grown pyramidalis var. striata. Just a guess since I've not heard of Maggie's Pride either. |

| Looks like B. Dorothy Berg to me, Nev. Maggie, Dorothy... it's all the same, right? ;-) |

| Hi all I am with Lisa on this one, My B.DB looks like a clone of that one! |
|
| Here are some of my Dorothy Bergs for comparison. As you can see, the color is somewhat variable depending on light and feeding (these were recently potted pups so they reflect what was going on with the parent plant). It's a larger plant than either Perriam's Pride or pyramidalis v. striata, and the purple blotching on the leaves and down in the throat is fairly distinctive. |

| Dorothy Berg is a good looking plant, my Perriam's Pride is 22cm / 8 1/2" high. Cheers, Rick |
