This particular specimen is growing in a hollowed out palm stump in my personal Brom collection on the side of my property in Brevard County. I found a small colony of these about three years ago in the land next to my property and took one. It has noticeably and steadily grown, and now it is very nicely established with multiple flowering spikes. I checked on the wild colony the other day, and was sadly disappointed, there were hardly any left and I think may have been hit hard by weevils. That colony is the only one I know of that holds this Tillandsia variety.
