Well it looks like you're on the way to becomming infected with bromelitis. In case you haven't heard of it, this is an incurable disease with the only treatment being to relieve the pain of the symptoms.

This can only be done by continually buying and swapping more and more bromeliads and if possible joining a Bromeliad Society where you will meet lots of other like minded people with the same complaint.

The good news is, this disease is not fatal and with successful treatment of the main symptom you are left with a feeling of contentment as you continue to drool and look over your collection of these wonderful plants.

Thanks for the advice, one of the things that I found myself doing was talking to my first ever bloom each morning as it grew and grew!!. Now I have a name for my condition "bromelitis"!!.
In the past before "bromelitis" i would look at others blooms and think they were too garish, oh how one can change once you own them.
I shall look forward to my others blooming, I know one is Queen's Tears, really beautiful.
