| I have been growing this pineapple from a store bought fruit top since at least 2008. It is now between 5 and 6 feet tall. It takes up too much space so I want to try to get it to bloom and fruit. Where it is it only receives about five hours of early morning sun (just after sun-rise) I think it hasn't bloomed because it hasn't enough light but get enough to keep growing.
I'm thinking of putting it outside once the weather get warmer but if it gets any bigger I'll have no space for it inside anymore, Does anyone here know if six - eight hours of sun will get it to flower? I am open to suggestions. |

| Sadly it may be to big to fruit. Pineapples of sufficient size appx 51/2 lbs fruit after a period of temps below 50 so as long as it is above freezing put it outside and if you dont get fruit thia year you probably won't. Enjoy |

| As long as the temps are above 50 or 60 always keep pineapples outside if you want fruit. More sun = bigger more and larger fruit. Maybe some high shade in hot dry dessert. |
