So I know the nudicaulis group is a total mess. But this is a question that hopefully shouldn't be an exercise in futility. What are the differences between the nudicaulis var. flavomarginata, Mary Hyde, albomarginata?

Mary Hyde looks shorter and more "white" than var. flavomarginata (as also noted in previous posts). Is flavomarginata synonymous with albomarginata?

Unrelated to ID, do nudicaulis tend to be self-fertile or self-sterile? I've been thinking about trying some crosses, but the hummingbirds have been pretty busy with their tongues and the ants have been pretty busy with their feet. The trend of albomarginated producing albino seedlings, is that across genera or a neo phenomena? Guess I'd better stock up on the pollen regardless.
