| It's probably difficult to identify most of the bromeliad without showing its flower, so I waited for this bromeliad to flower.
Before: Then it Flowered: |

| I have 2 bromeliad billbergia nutans (sp?) but they aren't the same plants. One I bought 4 or 5 years ago and it has bloomed well the leaves are narrower and it has the typical pink stem and the flowers open up in a pendulous mass. The second bromeliad is also called a queens tears - it has wider leaves that have a similar shape (they also have rough edges) and the bloom, altho similar in color etc has several pink "leaves" before the bloom. Why would they have the same name? or is one just a "misfit" thanks lolits |

| Hi lolits, I wont try and answer your question, I'll leave that to the Billbergia experts. I'd just like to say welcome to our forum, it's good to see another grower from the US joining our ranks and I hope you enjoy your association with us and learn heaps about brom's. All the best, Nev. |
