Hi Nev,

It looks like Bill. macrocalyx to me. It is a species which has been grown in Oz for many years. Its name refers to the large calyx - or collective sepals - more obvious when the flowers open. The plant's form is considerably tall and narrow, with few leaves.

Here is a photo of one of mine with flowers open. Does it look like yours, Nev?
