Comparison to Japie's tillandsia

On the left is a T. albertiana from Japie. Without a doubt one of the most vivid petal colors of the genus. On the right is one of Mark Dimmitt's creations; 'Mystic Rainbow', which is albertiana x arequitae. FCBS has a small section of Mark's 'Mystic' crosses which I suggest you check out for some amazing colors. I'll post other 'Mystics' when they bloom.

Gonzer, I always thought that this one is flowering twice a year - in Spring and Autumn. But I never got around to check the dates on my pictures. But if it is flowering now up North for you and here by me, then it must be so. Good thing, I do like those little red splashes every now and then
