purple bracted rutilans?

My friend has this one growing in his yard. The tag was broken in many pieces but clearly said "rutilans" on the piece that I checked. I looked for seeds, but it was too early. Anybody familiar with this one?

We've had a plant here grown as Nid. antoineanum. As per link its now had a name change to Nid Litmus. Looks like a good match to me.

Yes, I agree with Andrew - I also thought Nid. 'Litmus' (ex Nid. antoineanum). If it is, the bracts should go an even darker blue-black in time. I love that feature of this Nid.

Nick - did your friend notice if the bracts started out a bright cerise colour? That would be a good indicator of it being Nid. 'Litmus'.
