If anyone is in the New Orleans area this weekend We are having our show and sale at Clearview Mall in Metairie. There will be some real nice and rare stuff for sale. A few of us serious collectors are making room in our greenhouses. Also how many of you are planning on attending the world conference next year in New Orleans? I'm sure there are some who hasn't been to one in a while. You will have a good time. And of course the food is the best in the world. Thats why we have so many fat people here. Ha Ha.

Thanks for the photos of those beautifully-grown broms, Bryan. My favorites are the Ursulaea tuitensis, the nudicaulis variety, and the dyckias, and, and, and!

I'm getting hungry now! What's best on the menu in the Crescent City?

    Cheers,
    Kerry

I would say crawfish stew or stuffed softshell crab or jambalaya or seafood platter or crawfish bisque or boiled crawfish or a shrimp poboy or oysters on the half shell or or or you could come down and taste for your self. Alligator meatballs, seafood gumbo, shrimp etoufee, shall I go on? are you getting hungry yet?

    Hi Bryan,

Great to see all of those plants. Thanks for the pics. A quick question - does that Ae. nudicaulis have a name? It has coloured up just beautifully.

    Cheers, Paul

Paul - Looks like Ae. nudicaulis var. aequalis, but I've never seen one with quite that hue. Very nice.

Hi Mike, thanks, and same here. I think I'll give mine a bit more of a cook to see if it will go the same colour! Cheers, Paul

Thanks for the menu Bryan - sounds delicious. And yes, I will come over and taste for myself. I am definitely attending the WBC in your Crescent City. I have paid my registration fees already. First time to the U.S. for me, and I'm so excited. 'Twill cost me an arm and a leg, but hey - my superannuation is not much good when I'm too decrepit to enjoy it!

    Cheers,
    Kerry
