Hmm....
There was another article as well about a plant (not a brom) I think garces everyones collection - another one I put outside for the summer - but this one goes in the shade. Agapetes serpens - a heather family plant from the himalya with a lignotuber: flowers about 2cm long.

I have noticed (myself included) that brom. collectors also have a fetish of sorts for other spinies so seems only right cactus would be on that list! LOL

Most all cactus, broms, and succulants seem to live in harmony with each other. Looks like I may have to add the delicate flowered Agapetes serpens to my collection at some point. What a beauty!

Chis, there are a dozen of Agapetes spp. native to N and NE of Thailand.
Most of them are epiphytic caudex, growing in cold and humid forest on the mountains.
Last year, I visited Doi Vavee mountain, Chiang Rai province, North Thailand.
While I was trekking in an evergreen forest at 1,600 m.
I found Agapetes macrocarpa , but I can't find any seedling in the habitat,
also didn't want to bring off the huge caudex, so just took a cutting
back to make a herbarium specimen for my botanist friend.

Huge leaves, beautiful flowers - a nice find. This genus is hard to fault. I've found that cuttings root in water ok if you see any more.
