Hi everyone,

A few months back I was given a pup from a plant which my friend said was a Vriesea.

It had never flowered, had no name and was one of those plants which came from a friend who got it from another friend who got it from another friend .........etc.

There is a pale indistinct pattern to the leaves which has some similarity to the pattern on the outer portion of the leaves on my Vr. Guttata and is shown here with a flowering size Guttata for size comparison.

The texture and base colour of the leaves are similar to Guttata also, and initially I thought it may have been a hybrid from Guttata, but when I removed it from the bag completely, it was attached to a 4" stolon.

I haven't had the chance to photograph the plant the pup came from yet and was wondering if anyone can please help with its ID.
