Hi Devo, I reckon thats pretty cool! I hope its something new. I've not noticed any on my N. 'Marble throat's but the older leaves do go a chocolate brown. My plant is on the right, and my friends is on the left. Hers has quite a bit of pink through it, but mine hasn't. I didn't look closley enough to notice if my friends one had stripes though.

I've never seen MT do that either, Andrew. I've seen a number of different broms form similar-looking brownish streaks, which I usually regard as viral and candidates for the trash heap. Yours, on closer inspection, may not be that, so keep an eye on it. It would have to get a bit more evenly patterned and/or bolder red to be really attractive, in my opinion. It still makes me think "virus", even if it's not.

looks like its striated to me as the lines seem quite red, although this occuring on a few plants is quite odd, have you got any pups off these mothers yet ?? it will be interesting to see how they go. Another theory, maybe your kids have been out with a paint brush!!.
