| I read some where that there is a hechtia that doesn't need a male and female flower to set seed. Does anyone have info on this topic? |

| Hechtia gayorum. Originally named H. gayii, but as it was discovered by a husband/wife team it was corrected to the plural form. At first it was thought to be a H. montana (the only other Hechtia found in Baja California Sur) but it is smaller and 'cuter' and happens to have perfect flowers. I have yet to see it in habitat, but apparently it is found at the very southern tip of Baja. |
