Hello there. Can anybody advise me on collecting tillandsia seeds? Last time, they landed on my cacti and germinated between the spikes... Thank you.

Hi everyone,

Shopperbloke - It seems to me you have to be quicker off the mark and get the seeds before they are distributed by Mother Nature. Like all of these types of seed capsules where the seed is distributed by air movement, you need to keep a close watch on the capsules, and just when they are starting to crack, remove them and put them in a paper envelope (not plastic). They will still open naturally within a few days and you have the seed captured.

All the best, Nev.
