You could almost say T. fendleri. But several things don't click. What ever it is it's a killer plant. I'll have to get out the monograph.

Possibly T. clavigera or a fully anthesised T. buseri. Beautiful.

Another is T. tovarensis.

Checking with Wapedia (good source/bad source?) all of the suggested species are found in Ecuador, Bolivia and Venezuela but no mention of Colombia. Seems obvious that many if not most species found in neighboring countries would be found in Colombia but maybe it´s just that the sources of information are from those countries.

In his 'Distributional Checklist' Kiff lists them all as being endemic to Columbia also as does Derek Butcher in his notes. Here is a quote from Derek's work about T. buseri.

Type. Langlasse 1 02-A (holotype hb? isotype K, GH photo), western slope of Cordill¬era Occidental, Cauca, Colombia, Dec 1899.
DISTRIBUTION. Epiphytic in forest, 1350-2750 m alt, Colombia and Ecuador.

Cold be a T complanata hybrid - looks to be multi-spiked, maybe with T fendleri.

Peter, I'm not seeing any basal inflorescenses such as in complanata's make-up. The shape and purple tinged leaves do look similar but I'm not aware of any natural hybrids with this plant.
