Yes it will grow fine in shreveport but it needs a shady location. It is a beautiful plant.

Thank you for the information and yes it is a very beautiful plant. I am assuming you have successfully grown mooreana. Did you have any trouble worth mentioning with this particular species? Will you be coming to the regional show in Baton Rouge in September?

Yes I have grown and bloomed it many times and have won best of show with it once. Probably won't be at the show. You have to watch it at the pupping stage it will go down fast because it makes so many pups at once and they grow very slow because of that. this is a tillandsia that likes to be feed.I give it Guzmania culture. It is definitely worth the effort. Best Bob
