marleneann, It's all about light not so much direct sun. You will have to so some experimenting yourself to find the best spots. If you plant say under a tree even though it is not getting direct "sun" it is getting "light" coming thru. Keep it in a pot so you can move it. Other option under shade cloth. Try dappled light under a tree where the tree gets pretty much all day sun. Avoid afternoon sun as it is more harsh. My pink and orange groves hybrids seem to do better in by bush house under shadecloth. Dooley.
