| For some reason, I got a Krukoffiana at the Extravaganza. Did a google on it and got no info on care. Based upon the thinness of the leaf, I'd say full shade. Any knowledgeable advise?

| So you are growing Krukoffiana? I should put it next to my Vriesea fosteriana ‘Rubra’? Those take quite a bit of sun. Who would have thought Krukoffiana could take such sun with such soft leaves. |

| I would have ask the source I purchased the plant from. After reading the schedule of events of the Extravaganza with the guest speakers, someone on that impressive list could have given you any amount of information on the the plant. I grow a few Vriesea and for the most part mine are shade loving plants. |

I got one when I was in San Diego last year. I've grown it outside during the summer months under 50% shadecloth and it seems very happy. It has beautiful maroon color on the leaf undersides, and the plant is growing pretty quickly. Plan on repotting yours soon! Paul |

| They do like the upper part of the bench, so to speak. High light suits it fine. |
