I'm completely new to bromeliads and recently caved to the impulse to buy one that always caught my eye: the pink quill. I noticed in the past few days that the pink bract/spike has become top heavy - it used to stand erect with no problem but now constantly leans over to one side. It's in a very small 'starter' type plastic pot that is maybe two inches wide. Do I need to put it in something larger and deeper or is this normal (the pink bract/spike leaning off to the side)?
It's only recently pushed out a flower - though the flower hasn't opened yet - so perhaps it is time to repot it into something larger?
Any other tips would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
